The University of Mary’s men’s and women’s cross-country teams will compete in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships Saturday, Nov. 7, at Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls, according to a University of Mary Athletics announcement.

According to the announcement, the men’s 8-kilometer race is scheduled for 10 a.m., followed by the women’s 6-kilometer race at 11:15 a.m. The announcement says live results and a finish-line video feed will be available.

UMary’s latest competition was the Marauders Tune-Up on Oct. 23 at McDowell Dam in Bismarck, where both teams won, the announcement said.

At last year’s NSIC Championships, the men finished fourth for the second consecutive season, while the women placed fifth, according to the announcement. It said seven of the 10 UMary athletes who scored points at that meet returned this season.

The conference’s preseason coaches’ poll picked the men to finish fourth and the women fifth, the announcement said.
