A section of North Sixth Street between East Broadway Avenue and East Thayer Avenue will close beginning at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, while the City of Bismarck’s Forestry Division removes a tree, according to a city announcement.

The city said the closure will affect the portion of North Sixth Street near the corner of East Broadway Avenue, where the tree work will take place. The entrance to the parking garage will remain open during the closure, according to the announcement.

The city said the work is scheduled for the evening to minimize its impact on traffic traveling through downtown Bismarck. It asked people in the area to use caution and be prepared to stop if necessary.

The work is expected to be completed by the end of the day Tuesday, the city said. The announcement did not provide a detour route or an estimated cost. More information is available through the City of Bismarck Forestry Division, the announcement said.
