The North Dakota Department of Transportation said crews will perform overnight repairs on Interstate 94 in Fargo beginning at 10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, and expect to finish by 5 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9.

NDDOT said crews will first replace damaged crash barrels beneath the 42nd Avenue overpass. After that work is complete, crews will patch holes in both eastbound and westbound lanes between the Main Avenue and Veterans Boulevard exits, according to the department.

The department said replacing the crash barrels is necessary for public safety, while the pavement patching is intended to preserve the road and provide motorists with a better ride.

NDDOT asked drivers to slow down and use extra caution in work zones, and said current road conditions and construction information are available by calling 511 or checking the ND Roads map.
