According to the North Dakota State Patrol, Speidel was driving a 1989 Ford Mustang southbound on Sibley Drive when he failed to negotiate a curve, crossed into the northbound lane, and entered the east ditch, striking trees.
Speidel was transported by Metro Ambulance to CHI St. Alexius Health Bismarck, where he was later pronounced deceased due to injuries sustained in the crash.
