Bismarck Parks and Recreation District will hold its Halloween Carnival on Friday, Oct. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the World War Memorial Building, according to the district's event listing.
The carnival is at the World War Memorial Building, 215 N. 6th St., and is aimed at children from preschool through fifth grade, the district says. Admission is $1 per child, and adults get in free.
What kids can expect
According to Bismarck Parks and Recreation, the carnival features booths where children can collect treats, play games and win prizes. The district's listing does not mention per-booth fees beyond the $1 admission, and it does not say whether advance registration is required, so families may want to check ahead with the district before the night.
Volunteers wanted
Bismarck Parks and Recreation says it needs volunteers to help run the carnival. People interested in helping can sign up by calling 701-250-7780. The district's general volunteer page also lists the Halloween Carnival among the special events that need volunteer help, and notes that volunteers must complete an application and may be subject to a background check.
